2026 Subaru Outback Wilderness: Rugged Capability Meets Refined Comfort

The 2026 Subaru Outback Wilderness in Crystal Black Silica is crafted for drivers who refuse to compromise between daily practicality and weekend exploration. Designed with an aggressive stance and equipped for all-weather confidence, this versatile crossover seamlessly fits into an active lifestyle, whether you are hauling gear for a trip out toward Alto or handling routine weekday commutes. Premium touches like black Nappa leather upholstery complement its rugged exterior styling, delivering a elevated cabin experience that feels sophisticated yet ready for work. If you are comparing versatile crossover options, take a moment to browse our full new Subaru inventory to see how this incredible model fits your needs.

      Performance & Capability

Under the hood, the 2026 Subaru Outback Wilderness is powered by a 2.4L H-4 direct injection DOHC intercooled turbo engine generating 260HP. Paired with an 8-speed CVT Lineartronic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, it delivers responsive power delivery for both highway cruising and off-pavement trails. Standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive works alongside the dual-function X-MODE driver selectable drivetrain mode, Hill Descent Control, and an off-road ride suspension to maintain traction over loose gravel, mud, or deep snow. Riding on 17-inch matte black finish aluminum-alloy wheels fitted with all-terrain tires, this Outback also includes a full-size spare tire with aluminum wheel and an underbody skid plate for added peace of mind when venturing off the beaten path. With an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 21 city / 27 hwy MPG, capability does not come at the expense of practical efficiency. Drivers considering smaller footprint alternatives can also explore our Crosstrek models to find their ideal adventure partner.

      Technology & Connectivity

Inside the quiet cabin, modern tech features keep you connected and comfortable on every journey. The focal point of the dashboard is the Subaru 12.1-inch multimedia system with navigation, featuring high-definition graphics, integrated voice activation, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Sound is delivered through a premium harman/kardon 12-speaker audio system driven by a 576W amplifier. For comfort in any season, the front seating area boasts heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control, while a power moonroof brings natural light into the cabin. Driver confidence is reinforced by Subaru EyeSight driver assist technology, including Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking, Blind Spot Warning, and a Surround View Monitor aerial view camera. You can further customize your vehicle for weekend excursions by exploring genuine Subaru accessories tailored to your lifestyle.
