What's New for 2019?

The Subaru Outback has new features for this year including the EyeSight® safety system included standard on every trim level and extra infotainment features included for this year.

A Spacious Interior with Flexible Cargo Carrying

There are two rows of spacious seating inside your Subaru Outback, with plenty of leg and headroom for everyone. You'll love how easy it is to load up your family and friends inside, with plenty of space for your belongings. Behind the rear seats you'll find 35 cubic feet of cargo space, and if you fold the rear seats flat you'll get an ample 73 cubic feet of cargo volume. The low lift-over height makes it easy to load up all of your cargo, and the unique shape allows for you to carry a variety of items.

Subaru Capability and Performance

If you're looking to enjoy all of life's adventures around Grand Rapids, the Subaru Outback will get you there. Starting with the 8.7-inch ground clearance, the Outback will be able to go further off the beaten path. It's not only a capable adventurer but packs the engine power you need for all of your needs on and off-road. The base engine is a 175-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder, though there is an available 256-horsepower 3.6-liter six-cylinder for an added boost of power.

What sets the Subaru Outback apart from the crowd is the symmetrical all-wheel drive system included standard. This system is different than other all-wheel drive systems in a few key areas. The symmetrical all-wheel drive system is designed to maximize traction and stability, no matter if you're on dry pavement or in snowy weather. With the ability to detect wheel slip in less than one rotation of a tire, you're Subaru Outback will be able to quickly redistribute power to the wheels that still have traction, to keep you going where you need to go.

Safety Features and Technology

For the first time ever, each and every new Subaru Outback features the EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology included standard, along with the rearview backup camera standard on previous model years. EyeSight® includes features like:

  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Lane keep assist and sway warning
  • Automatic pre-collision braking
  • Pre-Collision throttle management

There are numerous other features you can add to upgrade your safety even further, like LED steering responsive headlights with high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and reverse automatic braking. The STARLINK™ Safety and Security system works in conjunction with your infotainment system by providing automatic collision notification, SOS emergency assistance, roadside assistance, and even features like remote lock and unlock.

The STARLINK™ system offers a user-friendly interface, with a responsive interface that reacts quickly to inputs, so you won't have a frustrating delay. You can upgrade your STARLINK™ system to a larger 8.1-inch touchscreen and include navigation capabilities as well.
