How does summer heat affect my tires?

As temperatures rise, so does tire pressure. Overinflated tires can lead to blowouts, while underinflated ones can overheat. You can self-check tire pressure and inspect for wear or damage on your tires. Of course, tire rotations every 5,000 to 7,000 miles goes a long way to ensure good tire life and even wear.

Is an oil change necessary just because it's summer?

Oil changes are necessary during all seasons. If you're due for one, don't hold off and make an appointment with us. With hot weather, engine oil can thin, and reduce its effectiveness, and fresh oil will help your engine run smoothly and stay cool.
