Humane Society of West Michigan is hosting the fourth annual Bark in the Dark on Saturday, October 8, 2016. This family & dog friendly glow-in-the-dark 5k fun run/walk is bound to be a blast! All proceeds from the event benefit Humane Society of West Michigan, a 100% donor funded 501(c)3 non-profit that promotes humane treatment and responsible care of animals in West Michigan through education, example, placement, and protection.

Once you register for Bark in the Dark you will be prompted to create an online fundraising profile through Crowdrise (https://www.crowdrise.com/BarkintheDark ). You have the option to create a team, join a team, or fundraise as an individual. We encourage you to create your profile, customize it with a picture of you and your furry friend, and let people know why you are fundraising to support HSWM animals! You can then share your fundraising page with friends & family on social media and through email. The dollars that you raise make a huge impact on our animals here in West Michigan! Fundraisers who reach one of the following levels will receive special HSWM apparel as a thank you!
- 5:00pm-6:30pm - Registration/Check-in & pre-race festivities including: a photo booth, face painting, give-aways, and more!
- 6:30pm - Run/Walk begins!
- 6:45pm-9:00pm - After the race stick around for our post-race celebration featuring a beer tent and complimentary treats! Each registered adult will receive a free drink for the beer tent. Friends & family will be able to purchase beverages using cash or card. Don't forget your ID!
