Alicia Sweeney - Wayland Bowling
This week's Fox Motors Prep Athlete of the Week is Wayland junior Alicia Sweeney! A three-year varsity bowler for the Wildcats, Alicia has also been a two-year captain and all-conference performer since she was a freshman. A member of five all-tournament teams in her career, Alicia was named tournament champ at the Cedar Springs Invite in December, firing games of 234 and 251 for a 485 total. The 251 is still currently a top 10 score in the state this season for girls, and the 485 total is a top 5 score. A 3.5 student in the classroom, Alicia also plays saxophone in the Wayland Jazz Band and volunteers her time with the elderly at Green Acres retirement home.
