Congratulations to Week #8 Fox Motors Prep Athlete of the Week winner
Madison Troy - Grandville Cross Country
Madison Troy - Last weekend, Madison won the girls Division 1 cross country individual championship after falling midway through the race! The OK-Red conference champion this year, Madison has broken Grandville's school record 3 times, and she has a personal best time of 17:20. Described by her coach, Jennifer Callendar, as one of the most humble and hard-working athletes that she has ever encountered, Madison also won the Division 1 - Region 3 championship this fall and currently holds the 3200 meter school record for the Bulldogs in girls track. A 3.5 student in the classroom, Madison has also volunteered her time to work with underprivileged youth in Holland, and earlier this year, she went on a mission trip to New York City through her church to work in the soup kitchens and food pantries there. Fox Motors and ESPN 96.1 would like to congratulate Madison Troy on being named this week's Fox Motors Prep Athlete of the Week.
